My favourite album of all time, Modest Mouse’s Moon & Antarctic was released 20 years ago today

20 years ago today Modest Mouse released their third album Moon & Antarctic, a sprawling epic folk punk masterpiece. Issac Brocks words moved away from the urban spawl of a west being paved over, dead strip malls, and endless roads and went universal, contemplating the cosmos and our confusing place within them. UPDATE: David Bowie: Ziggy Stardust on Mars

When I decided to release puzzles, I looked at this Bowie illustration and knew it needed an update and that I could improve upon the original.  I didn't spend much time, but the improvements are huge.  I changed the composition by shifting Bowie up, and the new background is much crisper and surreal looking.  I added a bit more detail to the suit, extended the torso and improved

IDLES: Tiny Desk Concert live in the NPR Studio

Just found about IDLES and I've been burning through their second album, JOY AS AN ACT OF RESISTANCE a bunch this weekend.  It's fun, aggressive punk with swagger and the lyrics are self deprecating, insightful and at times hilarious .  Watch the band play live in NPR's studio for a Tiny Desk Concert. <iframe width="750" height="440" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wMehItNQKAA" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

IN-SHADOW – A Modern Odyssey

IN-SHADOW is an animated short created solely by Lubomir Arsov with the help of a few others.  It is a wordless, guided by an electronic soundtrack and imagery that says to lot about the makeup of society in very little words.  It comments on government and media collusion, propaganda, enslavement, boredom, hopelessness, and our ability to rise up and attain a higher understanding, and only then will we
