When I decided to release puzzles, I looked at this Bowie illustration and knew it needed an update and that I could improve upon the original. I didn’t spend much time, but the improvements are huge. I changed the composition by shifting Bowie up, and the new background is much crisper and surreal looking. I added a bit more detail to the suit, extended the torso and improved the gloves. I also added the Blackstar logo, from his final album (released on his 69th birthday and two days before his passing) to the suit which is a fitting tribute, that takes influences from throughout his career and his many different characters and eras combining them into one image.
