Long before Amy and I arrived in Australia or even knew that we would one day in the near future end up here, we dreamed of getting to Australia so we could visit the private island that her grandparents own.  They built the house and landscaped the rest of the island creating a little garden paradise on a tiny island.

We were unsure that we would ever get to visit as it was on the market to be sold while we were still in Canada.  Unfortunately, or fortunately for us the sale of the island fell through about the time that we arrived but has since sold again.  Not before we were able to spend a few fantastic weekends there helping maintain the gardens and also relaxing and enjoying the mild winter and spring weather.

This was a truly spectacular place and I am glad that I got to see it and spend time there with Amy, her dad, grandparents, and a couple of friends before it is sold.
