These two pieces of art were created for the Berlin crew and label Mega Buff which hosts a variety of interesting events. From a nearly weekly DJ set, live streamed from the Mega Buff Mansion (DJs play sets filled with anything from UK garage, house, breakbeat, electro, jungle to funk and hip-hop and everything in between) to hosting parties, including one I went to in an old, unused underground train station toilet which has been transformed into a club that holds about 50 people.

And now there is the first compilation put out by Mega Buff, featuring 12 tracks by various artists. Leo from Mega Buff came to me with the idea of having me recreate his existing Mega Buff logo that another artist originally designed for him, in my own style. The way it all came together beat my expectations of what I had in my head. That is the beautiful thing about art, even though I have been drawing my whole life I continue to learn and most time I am still pleasantly surprised when everything is finished and comes together better then I pictured it in my head

I like the stoic, proud pose of the panther, the bad ass gold chains, medallion and Biggie crown. The colours are cool too. High contrast, vibrant, day glow sort of feel to the hyper pop art cover.

…and then we have the triplets. This was my original concept for the album cover but it was decided it didn’t quite work for the album cover. Too brutal? Maybe. Too creepy? Slightly. Could I have made it worse? Absolutely.

I’m very happy that this compilation and my artwork are on Spotify, Apple Music and on the Mega Buff Soundcloud page. Check out the music and artwork there and follow on Instagram for news and advents and YouTube for the weekend live streams.
