The Island Kingdom was drawn originally, on a poster size piece of paper in ink and that took about 100 hours. It was the second piece in the series of castles that I was working on for years afterwards. Afterwards I scanned it and spent a further 150 hours colouring it. There are some many different trees, tiled roofs and windows. This week I spend a few nights adding to the sky so that it wrapped around and looked good on the shirt.
